The pause between cascade steps as a cascade spreads. Higher = longer delay (slower, easier to follow). At the far end (> Step) you advance each step manually with a > button.

Hint light-up 10 s

Always Off

How long the bottom-right Hint bulb waits — with you not moving — before it lights up to offer a strong move. The button always works if you click it; this only controls the gentle nudge. Far left (Always) lights it immediately; far right (Off) keeps it dim and never auto-lights.

Board size 5 × 5

Choose a bigger board (up to 12 × 12). Larger boards make the strongest AI think longer — open this to calibrate estimated think times on your device and pick a size that stays responsive. Applies on the next New Game.

Auto-save game

Keeps your current game in this browser so it survives a reload or a reopened tab, and restores it automatically. Nothing leaves your browser. Turn it off to stop saving; use New Game any time to start over.

How long you're willing to wait for the strongest AI to move. In the table below, any estimate longer than this is shown in red.

Measures the AI on your device so the estimates below reflect your hardware. It takes a few seconds. Estimates are approximate and depend on your device and how busy it is — re-run if either changes. Until you calibrate, the table shows a generic (conservative) estimate.

Players

Edit each player's name and choose who controls them. You can change these any time, even mid-game (play pauses while this is open). Only human players can be renamed — an AI seat shows its agent name. Random plays mostly random moves (chaos); Tutor plays a simple human-style strategy (good for learning); Shark searches ahead and plays strongly (it exploits cascades a human can't easily read). Random has an Easy level (pure random) and a Medium level (mostly random, but hits back when the opponent is about to capture one of its cells). Tutor has an Easy level (a gentle first opponent) and a Medium level that watches the cells next to its own pieces and contests local build-ups, so you can't quietly surround and out-build it. Shark difficulty sets how many moves it looks ahead — higher is stronger (and thinks a little longer). Both are set per AI player. AI moves use the propagation delay in Settings.

Reset to first-use state

Choose what to erase from this browser. This restores the game to how it was before you first used it. This cannot be undone.

Names, scores & settings Player names, the win tally, who starts next, auto-save preference, and all Players/difficulty settings.
Current game The saved board (tile layout and counts) that is restored on reload.
Reload the page afterwards Refreshes the app so nothing lingers in memory. Available only when at least one of the above is selected.

Save / Load to file

Save the selected data to a file, or load it back from one. Choose which sections to include — both are selected by default (a full backup). A file never leaves your browser except as the download you create.

Game board The current board: tile layout, counts, and whose turn it is. Share it with someone else, or craft a position / puzzle.
Settings & scores Player names, the win tally, who starts next, who controls each player and their difficulty, and your preferences.
